Easy Barbecued Salmon Recipe

Wednesday, March 21, 2012
Barbecued Salmon with Kentucky Bourbon is a quick way to get a sweet and spicy glaze on salmon in a hurry because it starts out with store-bought barbecue sauce with some additions to kick it up.

I usually make this sauce ahead of time and use it on salmon, chicken and it's even tasty on burgers, just brush it on whatever you're making on the grill.

It's simple to make and really gives the salmon a barbecued authentic flavor without all the fuss and not an Asian style this is totally country cowboy styled glaze.

We love salmon and are huge fans of grilling but this one can be baked, pan-fried or even air fried because the sauce is made separately.

This fish can also be made in a smoker all you have to do is set it to 265 degrees using peach, or pecan wood chips and add the glaze on top, it's super tasty.

Store-Bought Barbecue Sauce

I love my homemade recipe for Jack Daniels Barbecue Sauce but when I am in a hurry and don't want to measure everything to bring along on a picnic this easy doctored barbecue sauce is the perfect solution and delicious.

You can easily adapt your recipe and add something else to the store jarred barbecue sauce, I just add a few things to it besides the Kentucky Bourbon.

If you're not a bourbon lover just substitute peach or pineapple juice those two are great flavor enhancers.

  11. So you marinate the salmon first in just the bourbon? Then take it out and marinate it in the pineapple juice?

The blend of flavors in this sauce sound so good. I can only imagine how this tastes. I'm going to have to try this recipe. I'll bet the sauce tastes incredible over many foods.
