I love these little handpies. They are so delicious with coffee flavored ice cream! |
1 cup Nutella hazelnut spread
1 banana cut into chunks
1 batch homemade pie crust, tart dough or handpie dough of store bought that equals 2-9 inch pastry crusts
sugar for the tops
1 egg yolk beaten with 1 tablespoon water to brush the tops with
1 egg white beaten with 1 tablespoon water to seal with
In a small bowl mix banana and Nutella together until combined
Roll dough out 1/4 inch thick. I use a ravioli dough cutter (round one) with fluted edges. Place a a heaping teaspoon in the center. Place egg white wash all around the inside edge then fold over to seal. Place each one on parchment lined cookies sheet and crimp with a fork. Brush with egg yolk was and sprinkle with sugar. Bake at 375 degree oven until golden brown, around 30 minutes.
