Beer Can Turkey Recipe



  1. 4 tablespoons melted butter
  2. 1 tablespoon fresh sage,
  3. 1 tablespoon poultry seasoning,
  4. 1 tablespoon fresh rosemary,
  5. Zest of 1 lemon salt and pepper,
  6. 1- 12-pound turkey
  7. 1- tall-boy can of any kind of beer we like Guinness Beer

Turn on a burner on one side of the grill. Keep the lid down and allow the grill to preheat and let this heat while you season the turkey.

In a glass bowl melt the butter, then add fresh herbs and lemon zest, and season with salt and pepper.

Rub or inject the turkey with the butter mixture under the skin.

On the opposite side of the grill from the burner that is lit, place the beer can then carefully place the turkey cavity on top of the beer can.

Make sure the turkey is upright and stabilized on how it stands up then close the lid of the grill and do not open.

Cook for 45 minutes, open the grill, rotate the turkey, and close the grill again. Allow cooking for another hour or when the internal temperature is at 165 degrees.
