Baked Pecan Raspberry Brie

I can't think of anything better than a quick delicious appetizer like this Pecan Raspberry Baked Brie for a festive holiday get-together.


Brie is a soft-ripened cow's cheese from France, and so delicious served warm.


This sweet and savory creamy melted cheese is so addicting and delicious "Party Food" you just can't stop eating it.


How easy is this that in less than 30 minutes this is a beautiful appetizer to serve for your guest and so elegant?


For those of you that love phyllo dough wrapped brie just out my directions, that's just as easy to do below.

Easy Appetizers



We love to make an assortment of finger foods around New Year's and holiday get-togethers.

Use any kind of jams, chutney, fresh fruits and nuts you like, and if you are worried about nut allergies, substitute pumpkin seeds the combinations can be endless just get creative.


For those who prefer to bake this is puff pastry, it's super simple, just leave the rind on, use an oil sprayed cookie sheet, add the cheese on the puff pastry (or even crescent rolls), top with jam and nuts, heat the same way.

Ingredients You Need To Make

  • Brie cheese
  • chopped pecans or for nut allergies use pumpkin seeds or sunflower seeds
  • raspberry jam
  • honey, brown sugar, or maple syrup
  • fresh raspberries
  • sesame seed crackers, baguette bread toasted, pita chips, plain crackers

  4. strawberry jam with coconut and macadamia nuts
  5. blueberry jam with lemon zest and walnuts

Cheese Lovers



This melted savory-sweet baked brie is terrific served on bagels, baguette bread, toasted pita bread, crackers, and a truly addicting appetizer for any cheese lover.


It's also perfect to bring to a party wrapped in foil and all you have to do is pop it in the oven for 15 to 20 minutes, that's it!


If you have a holiday appetizer you want to impress guests with this is it, easy, quick, and delicious brie it is sure to be a crowd-pleaser.


One little tip I usually warm some extra raspberry jam to pour over my fresh raspberries, it's so delicious or use pureed with a little sugar or honey in it.




Baked  Pecan Raspberry Brie

Baked Pecan Raspberry Brie

This is a French cheese appetizer smothered with jam and nuts baked until this creamy cheese is melted and spread on assorted crackers or baguette bread.

Ingredients

  • one 8-12 ounces round of Brie cheese chilled 
  • 1/2 cup chopped pecans or substitute pumpkin seeds or sunflower seeds for nut allergies
  • 1/3 cup raspberry jam or your favorite flavor
  •  1 tablespoon honey, brown sugar, or maple syrup
  • fresh raspberries
  • sesame seed crackers, baguette bread toasted, pita chips, plain crackers  

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350 degrees
  2. If you do not like the rind, take the round of chilled Brie and slice the top rind off carefully, leaving as much cheese are possible and only taking off the rind.
  3. Wrap tin foil or parchment paper around the cheese and place it on a cookie sheet or baking pan.
  4. Using a small spatula spread the red raspberry jam on top and decorate evenly with whole pecans.
  5. Drizzle the walnut with honey, brown sugar, or maple syrup.
  6. Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes, until the pecans are toasted and the brie has melted. 
  7. Remove the brie from the oven and let rest for 5-10 minutes, until you are able to move it without the cheese oozing out.
  8. Top with fresh raspberries.
  9. Place on a board with assorted crackers, baguette bread rounds.
  10. Note:  warm some extra raspberry jam to pour over fresh raspberries, it's so delicious, or use pureed fresh raspberries with a little sugar or honey added. 
  11. This can also be done wrapped in phyllo dough, spread with the jam and nuts, syrup, and baked in the 350-degree oven.
