these are homemade taco shells filled with a salad with refried beans, salad, cheese, lettuce and tomato

Fun to Make!

You can make your own homemade taco bowls for salad easily.

There are several options to use.

Cupcake tins, extra large muffin tins, taco tins, or an oven proof bowl using the shell on the outside of the bowl then baked.

Using the cupcake tins, you will have to cut to fit each one and you will have mini appetizer bowls.

Perfect for a party!

In a medium size fry pan saute the beef in 2 tablespoons olive oil with chili powder, garlic, cumin until all the pink is gone. Drain the oil off. Stir in the refried beans and heat through.
Set aside.
Preheat the oven at 400 degrees. Line the baking bowls with tortilla to package directions and bake until crispy. I spray my shells with a cooking oil spray which makes them even crispier.
Line the tortilla with bean mixture top with lettuce, tomatoes, sour cream, cheese and any of the above mentioned garnishes you like.
