Grilled Hawaiian Pork Chops

Sunday, June 16, 2019
Grilled Hawaiian Pork Chops is a wonderful tropical tasting dish we actually had the pleasure of being served in Hawaii and this is a copycat of those fabulous flavors in this dish.

The pineapple and peppers along with this amazing marinade bring grilling season and boneless pork chops to a drool-worthy level of yumminess.

You won't be able to wait when you smell them cooking to eat them.

Grilled pork is wonderful, but even if you have to cook them indoors, they're still fantastic, just use a grided cast iron skillet.

There are so many wonderful Side Dishes you can add to this meal, we love our Pineapple Orange Mandarin Cole Slaw but just about anything goes great with this easy grilled pork recipe.

This easy recipe is perfect for a warm day and all the neighbors can smell this cooking in envy.

I recreated it best I could and it really is almost exactly what we remembered!

Of course, if you're not a grilling kind of gal or guy, try this recipe in a cast iron gridded pan on the stovetop or bake in the oven.

Delicious Pork Recipes

This dish will strike the perfect balance between sweet and spicy with Hawaiian-inspired pork chops with pineapple grilled.

One bite and you're on island time it's the perfect pork recipe that just screams summer and warm weather.

If you haven't tried pork with a little sweetness this is great all year long with my other cooking method suggestions.

A fantastic marinade keeps the meat juicy, moist, and fork-tender just remember any meat can be used boneless.

Tips

  • Go thick, not thin never try to grill thin pork chops
  • Marinading is a must don't miss that step
  • Watch the heat. Pork doesn’t like high heat.
  • Put a chop over a hot fire and you’ll end up with a tough piece of meat, even if you’ve marinaded it.
  • Setting up your grill for indirect grilling is a good way to go, sear on both sides and cook on indirect heat.
  • Transfer the chops to a platter and let rest for 10 minutes.
  • Use another fruit if you're not fond of pineapple, mandarin oranges (see photo below), mango works great also, or apricots

A Few Other Options:

You can use any kind of rice you prefer, we love jasmine, but the long grain is suggested and what was served.

Also, you can add some ginger and some red pepper flakes for a little spicier heat.

Either way, get creative and make this your own, you can even use hot peppers instead of bell peppers.

Other vegetables also are easy to substitute in this recipe, broccoli is also another one we use often and does well on the grill.

Enjoy my favorite way to eat pork and have fun creating the tropical flavors of Hawaii.
