1 - 13x9 pan I use disposable for easy clean up ( I throw it away, smile)
3 or 4 ripe bananas sliced ( I have also used apples, blueberries and blackberries they all work great!)
light brown sugar
butter or margarine
9 to 12 slices of Italian bread leaving crust on it
Spray the pan with oil spray and preheat oven to 375 degrees.
Sprinkle the bottom of the pan with brown sugar evenly. Sprinkle around 1 tablespoon cinnamon on top of the sugar and blend together. Place mashed bananas on top of the cinnamon sugar mixture.
Drizzle around 2 tablespoon butter of the bananas.
In a small bowl beat the eggs with 1 cup milk. Spread the bread on top of the bananas. Pour the egg mixture on top of the bread. Slowly pour more plain whole milk to cover the bread around another 2 cups till soaked.
Sprinkle the tops of the bread with more brown sugar evenly, cinnamon and drizzle butter over the top. Bake for 45 minutes or until the top is browned and crispy looking.
