Chocolate Cookies and Cream Lasagna

Thursday, May 26, 2022
This has so many names out we always called this chocolate Cookies and Cream Lasagna Dessert.

It's a layered no-bake dessert with cream cheese, whipped cream instant pudding, and crushed oreo cookies, very much like a sweet dessert lasagna and not the kind that is savory with tomato sauce!

Although this is usually made in a lasagna style pan we made it into a trifle style deep bowl and it came out perfectly.

This classic no-bake dessert was said to first be introduced at the Olive Garden on the menu of sweet treats to order.

We love the basic recipe since it could be transformed into so many flavored lasagna desserts just by using vanilla, lemon, or another pudding flavor, any kind of cookies work great and such a versatile filling so it can be a new dessert every time you make it!

  6. Thank you for the delicious recipe. Am I missing something? I am guessing the cookie crumbs are mixed with the melted butter, then put in the pan? The directions do not say this. Also, the picture of the slice looks like you used Graham crackers, which I use for lots of icebox type desserts. Is that right? Thanks!
