Baked Haddock and Scallops in Butter Dill Sauce taste like it came from a 5 star restaurant and super simple to make in your own homes!

The lemon butter dill sauce combination really complements any kind of fish you use, and the only sauce you'll want to use after one taste.

I just love making this for friends and family dinners it's really a show stopper with the colorful peppers and tomatoes added for a side dish.

The fish is moist and flaky and the buttery lemon sauce on top after it's cooked compliments this dish but can be used on any fish you like.

The addition of scallops on top with the toasted breadcrumbs are all baked to perfection just by sprinkling them on top, no fussy dipping or flipping the fish.

Use any Seafood

I have made this recipe with just about every kind of fish but our favorite is haddock which is a mild white fish found in the North Atlantic.

If you want to mix and match, choose any kinds you prefer over what my recipe call for.

Our second favorite fish to make this dish with is salmon, the dill butter sauce really is perfect with salmon also

The sauce will really make this dish from simple to gourmet and you just need a little drizzla but I just pour it on mine I love it so much.

  7. This looks delicious and I must try it.

  8. Do you pour the chicken broth under the parchment paper? It says to add it to the bottom of the pan not touchong the fish so that is what I am thinking. Thanks!

  9. I rarely comment on recipes however this was simply so delicious that I felt that I must. Firstly, being from Western NY, I love haddock. It is the main stay of the "fish fry". I wanted something a little different and stumbled on your recipe. I omitted the bell pepper and tomatoes but put asparagus spears in between the filets and topped each filet with several small bay scallops. This was the only change that I made. It was absolutely delicious! And that sauce, I could put that on a flip flop and eat it! Thank you so much for posting this recipe! It will be added to my rotation!

    1. Thanks so much for your kind comment, it is one of our favorites also. We were from Utica NY and get the best haddock there when visiting and this reminded me of something I had over 40 years ago and recreated it best as I could so glad you enjoyed this.

  10. Is plain butter drizzled over fish to bake it or the butter sauce? There’s no mention of melting any amount of plain butter in the recipe, but it says to keep the sauce warm while fish is baking.
