Italian Style Lamb Shank Cabernet Stew

Thursday, December 12, 2019
Italian Style Lamb Shank Cabernet Stew is one of my favorite meals when it's a little chilly out!

Lamb is a favorite of mine.

I just love the flavor, tenderness that comes along with slow cooking and what a fine wine can do to enhance the flavor of a dish.

This is made with a good grade Cabernet wine and is just a perfect blend of flavors.

A wonderful stew with bold flavors.

If you are looking for a great recipe with lamb this is bursting with flavors and we love our recipes for Italian Stew, Beer Stew and mom's mushroom stew if you love to make one-pan meals!

A comfort meal that's made all in one pan and easy.

If you love lamb, don't miss this delicious stew.

Here is a gourmet Garlic Parmesan Burger with a creamy lemon spinach sauce over the top just bursting with flavors!

If you're a spinach lover and love a good lemony cream sauce, you will love this burger.

My favorite part is the smoky flavored burger, a little heat from the radishes

Then with this creamy buttery delicious sauce that has with wilted fresh spinach on top, makes it over the top gourmet in every way.

It really is out of this world delicious!

Baked Italian Butter and Garlic Herb Wings and Sauces

Friday, June 13, 2014

Some of the best wings I've eaten are baked and not fried. I am a big fan of wings that have been marinated and fall off the bone. These fall-apart tender wings will slide right off the bone. They are crispy but still moist, not at all stringy or dried out and these really burst with flavor. Italian herbs with butter make them one of my favorites!

Italian Butter and Garlic Herb Wings Baked

1 bag of frozen wings thawed or fresh around 4 pounds

1 teaspoon garlic powder

2 cloves minced garlic

1/2 teaspoon chili powder

3 tablespoons lemon juice

3 tablespoons olive oil

1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional)

Mix everything together except the wings in a large bowl. Add the wings to coat evenly. Place in the refrigerator for 3 hours or overnight.

Bake at 400 degrees hot oven on greased foil or parchment paper until crispy around 1 hour or more. When crispy and browned, coat with 1/2 the butter and herb sauce. Bake for around 10 minutes pour the rest of the sauce over the wings to soak in the butter and garlic herb sauce (see recipe below) and serve.

Sauce for Cooked Wings:

1 stick butter (1/2 cup butter)

3 teaspoons minced garlic in olive oil

1/2 teaspoon garlic powder

1 tablespoon assorted chopped fresh herbs, parsley, basil, rosemary, oregano

salt and pepper to taste

Melt butter, then mix the seasonings with herbs, set aside.

I have a quick and easy dinner recipe for you. This is a Southwest Tex-Mex sauce with ground beef that is the perfect start to creating many meals!

This dish is perfect for a busy lifestyle because it's done in less than 30 minutes.

Choose your favorite vegetable to pour this over, filling for a taco or burrito and just perfect over a bowl of fluffy white rice.

See below for the suggestions. My favorite is really over rice.

Mom's Italian Style Gravy

Thursday, December 15, 2011
I always said Mom made the best gravy and I still think so.
Watching her intently growing up and now just recreating it from memory it's pretty darn close to my favorite basic gravy recipe.

Bursting with flavors from roasted Turkey dripping on Thanksgiving, beef dripping for Christmas day or any day of the week roasted chicken, it's the best always made from scratch.

There is nothing compared to making homemade gravy vs bottled from the store, the flavor is magnified significantly.

I always had to hold back from drinking it, it's so good!

Tomato Sauce Guest Post with Curt

Traditional Sunday Sauce "The Next Generation", is my son's Curt's version! This has three kinds of meats, boneless fried spare ribs (shown), Italian homemade Sausage and Italian Sunday morning meatballs inside this bubbling pot of wonderful sauce. A very thick, delicious sauce, with fresh pureed plum tomatoes, fresh herbs and lots of meat, slowly cooked for a minimun of two hours.

Slow Cooker Dulce de Leche Homemade

Tuesday, August 3, 2010

Unfortunately I don't have as much time to devote to delicious recipes like milk caramel that takes quite awhile to make from scratch. I would like to make everything from scratch, as that is always the best. This time I took the easy way out, being a career working woman, you sometimes have to find new ways to make great tasting desserts. I love this one, because it doesn't require alot of time in the beginning, perfect for summer. I love my crockpot, and I use it for so many things that I never dreamed would come out so good, and continue to experiment with things that shock me on how good they end up. This one here is another example of it. I loved this idea and it worked like a charm. Making something at night before I go to bed, then viola, the next morning magic is made.
