Prep time: 10 MinCook time: 25 MinTotal time: 35 Min

Ingredients

  • 3 tablespoons (1/2 stick) butter, divided
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 1/4 cup firmly packed light brown sugar, divided
  • 1/2 cup pecan halves
  • 1 (10-ounce) package of refrigerated biscuits (found in the supermarket biscuit section)
  • 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar mixed with the above cinnamon and set aside
  • 1 tablespoon melted butter

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  2. In the 8 or 9-inch cake pan using oil sprayed/greased, place the 3 tablespoons butter, brown sugar, and honey.
  3. Note: for melting the butter I usually add the butter to the pan I am using and heat the oven to 350 degrees to melt it while making the dough.
  4. While the mixture is melting in the oven, get the biscuits ready.
  5. Place biscuits on a board and flatten each one.
  6. Brush with butter and sprinkle with cinnamon and sugar mixture.
  7. Roll up the dough like individual jelly rolls. Set aside.
  8. Remove pan from oven.
  9. Stir the mixture evenly.
  10. Spread pecans evenly on top of the sugar mixture.
  11. Place rolls seam side down on top of the pecan mixture.
  12. You can brush with more butter if you like and then sprinkle tops with cinnamon and sugar.
  13. Bake at 350 degrees oven until browned around 25 minutes till nicely browned. Flip onto a deep dish pie plate deep enough so the syrup doesn't spill as it is flipped and burn you.
