Raspberry Flour Tortilla Turnovers

Sunday, April 24, 2016
Raspberry Fried Flour Tortilla is filled with sweet fruit and crispy shell on the outside then sauteed in melted butter.

One of the easiest desserts I have ever made.

You can really add any pie filling, pudding or fruits you like inside this tortilla, but raspberry is my favorite and that's what I used in mine.

A versatile dessert made in minute and can be quick with just three ingredients, butter, flour tortillas and pie filling.

Pick a Fruit and Filling You Love

I have always thought that flour tortillas were just for savory meals but boy was I wrong.

Then one year for Cinco De Mayo we tried bananas, cinnamon, and ice cream on top and it was so delicious in a crispy tortilla we experimented with all kinds of filling.

The best part was, as long as you have simple ingredients in your pantry you can make just about any filling you like.

We started to keep Nutella on hand, pie filling, and even some premade pudding, they all worked great.

Then we used a tablespoon of softened cream cheese, strawberries, and strawberry puree on top during the fresh strawberry season those were amazing also.

One day the kids added chocolate chips, marshmallow cream and coconut so just get creative and invent your own dessert.
