Slow Cooker Rump Roast Marsala Recipe

Saturday, December 31, 2016
Slow Cooker Rump Roast Marsala Recipe is the tastiest rump ever!

All the cuts of meats will work great, I just like the fact this one has a bit more meat for a large family.

I have used round roast made Italian style, chuck, and London broil, and they all taste great.

Whether you work out of the home or a busy mom, nothing is easier than using a slow cooker.

Set it and forget it right?

The best part after it's cooked is the rave reviews the family will be giving you.

A gourmet tasting meal and there is no work involved.

If you really don't have time to make side dishes, just pick up some prepared mashed potatoes, canned corn and microwave both to go along with this delicious roast.

Mine is used often and over the last 30 years I have gone through only two slow cookers they last a long time with loads of uses. This is just one of the many favorites in our home. This will be one of yours too!

I love to mix and match fruits for this great baked french toast. We used leftover rolls this year the sweet ones. They made the perfect baked french toast and the fruits with added cinnamon smelled awesome baking. This is one I make every Christmas for the family morning breakfast using Panettone along with a baked stratta with any leftover breads.

Cinnamon Butter Cookie Recipe

Monday, December 19, 2016
There is something about Cinnamon Butter drop cookies that I love. Well, not something, everything.

Since I was a child around 11 years old, I had my first cookbook from Better Homes and Gardens.

Red, white checkerboard hard copy fro the 1960s.

The pages are used a lot and worn now and did I ever get my use of it.

I made just about everything in that book.

This is an adapted recipe from there.

They used shortening instead of butter in their recipe, butter makes them more cake-like and lighter.

I find that shortening came out more like shortbread and biscuit tasting.

I really love this recipe and it's so easy. Drop the dough on the cookie sheet and bake, cool then dust with powdered sugar!

Christmas Story Potatoes And Hot Dog

Saturday, December 17, 2016

Growing up we didn't have lots of money and meals like this were very often. Dad would get that big old fry pan out and saute potatoes and hot dogs together. The potatoes would cook a long time until crispy then he would throw in the hot dogs sliced up.

Pecan Chocolate Pie Bars

Thursday, December 1, 2016
I am not a huge fan of pecan pie but these bars made me a new fan of it!

Now I not only love the pie but the ease of making these bars is perfect.

They're done in no time with all the same great flavors of a pecan pie.

Perfect for the holiday season or when you need a fast dessert that's easy to make and love pecan pie!

I love the taste and a little change-up with the addition of adding chocolate chips in the center which make a perfect delicious bar.

The texture and filling are just awesome.

Perfect dessert option when you're not fond of baking or making pies.

These will be a favorite to everyone that tries them.

They will all ask you for the recipe time and time again!
