Slow Cooker Beef and Gravy

Tuesday, March 26, 2024
There is something incredibly comforting about a pot of slow-braised beef simmering away in a slow cooker, on the stovetop, or in the oven.

As the rich aroma fills the kitchen, you know you're only a few hours away from a hearty meal with fork-tender beef and a savory gravy that's perfect for soaking into mashed potatoes, buttered noodles, or crusty Italian bread.

The flavors in this gravy and the tenderness of the meat are perfect for filling tacos, over pasta noodles and so much more.

I have used chuck, roast, and London broil, these are all great cuts to use in this recipe.

The sauce is so flavorful with ingredients that tenderize any meat when cooking slowly.

Leftovers are perfect for making additional meals like pot pie or enjoying this poured over your favorite bread as a covered sandwich.

Our family loves the roast with garlic mashed potatoes and corn on the cob, those are their favorite sides so I tend to make those more often to keep them happy.

The gravy it makes is perfect for topping any cooked style of potatoes, and our very favorite is topping (as shown below)Steakhouse Baked Potatoes.

This steak will rival any restaurant meal and is guaranteed to impress anyone that loves a flavorful slice of beef.

Who could turn down a steak marinated in beer smothered with sweet onion, garlic, in a delectable gravy?

If you haven't tried a Tavern/Pub style beef your family or guests are going to absolutely love this when you serve it.

Served on a plate traditionally with pub/chips aka fries (with malt vinegar mayo on the side) or buttery mashed potatoes, with piles of this juicy beef in a beer-rich gravy, a meal fit for a King!

We've done ours in a slow cooker to make this meal even easier, you can check out this easy recipe below for Tavern Beef, Malt Vinegar Mayo, and Pub Style Fries in our printable recipe card.
