Antipasto Stromboli Roll

Wednesday, May 27, 2015
Our favorite meat stromboli all wrapped up in one delicious homemade pizza rolled dough!

This stromboli is filled with the same meats and cheeses you would find in an Antipasto Salad.

It's perfect for parties and an appetizer before a big Italian style dinner.

Sunday Appetizer

Growing up in an all Italian household, mom got creative.

We loved our meatballs on Sunday morning, it was a tradition along with many other appetizers before our 2 pm dinner.

Sunday was Traditional Sunday Sauce and Macaroni day!

Stromboil, Pizza Rolls and More

Mom was famous for her sausage rolls.

She actually ran her own deli through our house before I was born and sold many of her sausage rolls.

I loved that she would mix them up and add thing to her pizza dough and that's how we got this antipasto roll.

Mom was very creative.

Anyway she could get us kids to eat our salad and vegetables she was clever at.

This roll was never turned down and it had things hidden in it we all loved!

Easier than it looks

The fillings are really easy.

You just need pizza dough and add the filling of your choice from my suggestions in the recipe.

Not difficult at all, just add what you like in your salad.

Maybe there are things not listed, anything can go in this antipasto roll.

Pizza Dough

You can make Mom's homemade dough recipe or buy store bought.

Just don't use the kinds that are frozen that are more like sweet dough, you need Italian bread dough to make this great!
