Garlic Parmesan Burgers with Creamy Lemon Spinach Sauce

Saturday, June 16, 2018
Here is a gourmet Garlic Parmesan Burger with a creamy lemon spinach sauce over the top just bursting with flavors!

If you're a spinach lover and love a good lemony cream sauce, you will love this burger.

My favorite part is the smoky flavored burger, a little heat from the radishes

Then with this creamy buttery delicious sauce that has with wilted fresh spinach on top, makes it over the top gourmet in every way.

It really is out of this world delicious!

Check out the secret ingredients in the creamy sauce!

This Italian Style Garlic Parmesan Burger is juicy and has just the right spice, with a little natural heat from a special ingredient.

I love recreating toppings for burgers, this one was quite unusual and out of the ordinary but everyone loved them!

I have the perfect recipe for a side dish too! My Italian French Fries, so give them a try also.

You aren't crazy about spinach?

It really shouts Summer in colors too! I love eating a pretty burger!

You can substitute kale, escarole or any other greens you like if spinach isn't a favorite!

A different kind of sauce and burger!

I love to experiment with different flavors. This gourmet burger is just that. When I order a burger out, it's the same old same old. Not this one.

The flavors are enhanced by this special sauce. The burger itself it awesome but the sauce makes it over the top special!

If I could put this one on a scale from 1-10 it's a 10 all the way.

Yes I know what you're thinking, you may not be a lover of all these ingredients in it.

That's ok! You can substitute you favorite burger toppings in the sauce.

This sauce is basic. You can add mushrooms, onions, peppers or even bacon to make it the way your family likes their toppings.

We love fried peppers and sauteed mushrooms on our burgers with this delicious lemon cream sauce.

Hamburgers are great homemade!

You may have noticed, I like to grill my burgers in a iron skillet that has grids in it.

Well, grandma used only iron skillets and the burgers were always perfect.

I use an iron skillet on top of my gas grill. I leave them cooking until they get a good charred line on both sides.

That seems to be what locks in the juicy flavors in any burger I cook.

Toasted ciabatta rolls with butter and garlic on them or Tuscan garlic bread compliment this burger in flavors.

Lastly, when its dressed up with a fancy lemon spinach sauce, or all kinds of fancy condiments, it's officially a gourmet burger.

I love a good looking char on my burgers, these came perfect in grandma's cast iron skillet.

The grids in the pan make them deep and very noticeable.

Seasoning in these Burgers is key!

When it comes to seasoning and everyone's taste less is more to me.

I like to start out with just little amount of seasoning and cook a tiny bit of hamburger, to taste it to see if it's just right!

Season to taste!

Tasting your own food is a big part of a successful recipe.

When I cook I never over salt, that is one thing anyone can put on after the food is cooked.

However in my opinion you can never have too much garlic or cheese.

The Special Ingredient in the sauce!

After watching the video, you now have seen what gives this that peppery taste and a little heat.

The radishes are a peppery flavor that enhances the sauce.

This Garlic Parmesan Burger is already bursting with delicious flavors, the topping is just a frosting like no other.

Compliments the Burger perfectly!

The lemon sauce with a little peppery heat from the grated radish, gives the lemon sauce a delicious little pop of flavor.

The grated lemon peel, is perfect flavor booster that compliments the spinach.

If you are looking for a delicious creamy lemon sauce, this is the perfect topping for any meat.

The spinach lemon sauce would be awesome over any pasta dish or even rice!

I made my own ciabatta bread and it's a great addition to this gourmet version of a fabulous burger.

When you want something unique and different, try this one you won't be sorry!

Garlic Parmesan Burgers with Creamy Lemon Spinach Sauce

prep time: 10 mins cook time: 25 mins total time: 35 mins

ingredients:

For the Burgers:

2 1/2 pounds of ground chuck or other ground meat
1/3 cup Italian seasoned bread crumbs
4 tablespoons grated Parmesan cheese
2 cloves finely minced garlic
3 tablespoons chopped fresh Italian parsley
1 egg
salt, pepper to taste
1 tablespoon liquid smoke
2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce

For the Creamy Lemon Spinach Sauce:

3 tablespoons butter
2 tablespoons flour
2 tablespoons lemon juice freshly squeezed
1/2 cup heavy cream
3 cups fresh spinach leaves
1 teaspoon of grated radish and more for garnish
1 teaspoon grated lemon rind and more for garnish
salt and pepper to taste
1 teaspoon granulated garlic
water to thin if too thick or
Optional: 1/3 cup white wine or sherry

instructions:

Mix all ingredients for the burger recipe in a bowl to form 4 patties.

Grill outside in cast iron oiled grid skillet or on top of the stove on medium-high heat.

Grill on each side until grill marks are even and middles are light pink or to your desired doneness.

Serve the Burger on a butter-toasted Ciabatta roll or any bread you prefer.

For the Creamy lemon spinach recipe: (refer to the video clip in this blog post)

Melt the butter in the small pan on low heat.  Add the flour and seasonings to taste and stir until smooth.  (I taste this to see if it needs more garlic powder, salt, and pepper)

Add the lemon peel and grated radish more or less to taste.  Stir in the lemon juice until thickens.  Whisk in the cream.  If too thick add water or wine.

Add the spinach leaves and cook just until wilted around 2 minutes.

Serve over the hamburgers as shown in the photo.
Optional: add more grated radish and lemon peel over the sauce after cooking
