- For creamy sauce, add 1/4 cup of heavy cream at the end with a few tablespoons of Parmesan Reggiano.

Ingredients
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 2 tablespoons extra-virgin olive oil
- 4 garlic cloves, minced
- 1/2 cup dry white wine or broth
- salt, or to taste
- 1/2 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes, or to taste
- Freshly ground black pepper to taste
- 2 pounds large or extra-large shrimp, shelled
- 1/2 cup chopped Italian flat leaf parsley
- Freshly squeezed juice of half a lemon
- Serving Suggestion: overcooked pasta, or cooked rice
- Note: shown is around 1/2 pound of cooked and drained linguine.
Instructions
- In a large skillet, melt butter with the olive oil.
- Stir in the garlic and sauté until fragrant, about 2 minutes.
- Add wine, broth, salt, red pepper flakes, and black pepper, and bring to a slow simmer.
- Let the wine reduce to half, about 2 to 3 minutes.
- Add shrimp and sauté until they just turn pink, 2 to 4 minutes depending upon their size.
- Stir in the parsley and lemon juice, and serve over your favorite cooked pasta or rice.
