Easy Caramel Apple Cake Recipe


This amazing caramelized topping makes itself while baking. The apples are infused with a buttery caramel slathering over a yellow cake to make a delicious dessert that everyone will swoon over. You will make it again and again! The cake is made with either a yellow or spice  cake mix!  My son loves apples so this is what we had for his birthday this year and he loved it!

As it bakes the caramel makes it all by itself!




  Easy Caramel Apple Cake

2 -  round 9 inch cake pans greased with cooking spray
1 stick butter cut in half
2 apples peeled  cored and sliced
1 cup brown sugar divided for 2 pans
cinnamon
flour
oil spray 
1 cake mix made to package instructions either yellow or spice mix

Place half stick of butter in each 9 inch pan which has been sprayed with cooking oil into each pan. Place both round cake pans with butter in oven at 350 degrees until butter melts. Take out, add into each pan 1/2 cup brown sugar, 1 sliced peeled and cored apple, 1 tablespoon cinnamon and 2 tablespoons flour. Stir the mixture to blend in each pan.
Mix cake mix to package instructions. Pour half the batter over the apple mixture into each pan. Pour half the batter over each pan.
Bake at 350 until center looks firm around 35 minutes.
Flip each cake onto wax paper lined plate and cool.

Serve with whipped cream of vanilla ice  cream.

  2. Oh, my gosh! I adore apple cakes and the caramelized apple topping is irresistible!!!

    P.S. I just used a kitchen scale and it was really easy to make the tartlets :)

  3. I saw this in my email and clicked on it then thought..."oh that is just too tempting". Tried to ignore it but it got the best of me. It's sure to make an appearance on our dessert table.
