Baked Pork Rib Roast with Homemade Jack Daniels Sauce
prep time: cook time: 2 minstotal time: 2 mins
Delicious oven smoked ribs with homemade barbecue sauce
ingredients:
1 medium-size pork rib roast 3 or 4 pounds
Sauce:
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
4 cloves garlic, minced
2 cups ketchup
1/3 cup vinegar
1/2 cup brown sugar, packed firmly
3/4 cup molasses
1/2 teaspoon pepper
1/4 cup tomato paste
2 teaspoons liquid smoke
1/2 teaspoon Tabasco sauce (or to taste) or 1/4 teas of cayenne pepper
1/2 cup Bourbon (Jack Daniels was my choice)
instructions:
Directions: Pre heat oven to 325 degree hot oven.
Combine the garlics with the bourbon (start with a small amount... you can always add more to taste) in a large saucepan; cook until translucent. Add remaining ingredients; bring to a boil.
Simmer for 20 minutes. In a large oil sprayed nonstick roasting pan, place roast in the pan. Pour half the sauce on the roast, cover with foil loosely. Bake at 325 on a slow oven till browned and crisp on top, around 1/2 hour per pound. These pork ribs are very tender. Goes well with sweet potatoes, green beans with olive oil, Flatbread garlic pizza... Use the additional sauce to dip the pork ribs in. If you have extra sauce and didn't use it on the pork, store in closed jar container in the refrigerator for up to two weeks.
