The sour cream makes these tender and they are moist and delicious.
The family loves blueberry anything and these are a definite favorite!
They love blueberry muffins grilled, my mom had her own delicious recipe, and we always make sour cream blueberry bars, blueberry flan and blueberry lemon loaf bread all year long while they are in season!
Blueberries in season are always in our home we just love cooking with them.
This simple sour cream muffin recipe can be adapted to any fruit you like, it's basic and the muffins are topped with fruit, cinnamon, and sugar.
With melted butter, while still warm this is a winner of a delicious baked blueberry muffin!

Easy To Make
The recipe is simple just make sure you follow the instructions to keep the batter moist and the muffins tender.
Over mixing will ruin the muffins, so please read the recipe before starting to mix the ingredients together.
Blueberries are placed on top of the muffins before baking and not folded in the batter.
Cinnamon Sugar Topping
Although this is just an option, you certainly can omit this step if you aren't a fan of cinnamon.
Try using a sprinkle of orange or lemon zest mixed with sugar for another flavored topping.
The Batter
This is a very thick batter and the muffins are a heavier cake-like in texture and very flavorful.
The thick batter is actually easier to place in the muffin cups if you use an ice cream scoop.
The blueberries give it just the right texture.
Again you can top these with any fruits you like.
