Cooking Methods
- Baking: Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Place on a parchment-lined baking pan, add melted butter or olive oil, and top with shredded cheese of choice on top for around 35 minutes
- Stovetop: Add 3 tablespoons of melted butter and 1/2 cup chicken broth or white wine. Place stuffed mushrooms in the stuffed side up, cover, and steam for 20 minutes. Add the cheese on top around 3 minutes before the mushrooms are cooked. If the liquid starts to evaporate, add chicken broth of water.
- Air Fried: Preheat the air fryer to 400 degrees. Add the mushrooms to a heat-proof dish, butter-flavored oil-sprayed dish ( or use butter), spray mushrooms with cooking spray also, add wine, seasoning you're going to use. Air Fry for 11 minutes. Add cheese and air fry one more minute.

These stuffed mushrooms are a great appetizer to prepare ahead of time.Prepare the mushroom caps and sausage-cheese filling, then stuff the mushrooms and arrange them on the baking pan.
Cover and refrigerate until you're ready to bake.

- Classic Stuffed Mushrooms
- 12 to 14 extra-large white mushrooms, cleaned and stems removed ( use a small melon ball scoop or the back of a spoon to clean the insides)
- 1/2 cup Combination Pecorino and Parmesan, grated cheese
- 1/2 cup white wine
- 2 cloves fresh garlic, finely minced
- extra virgin olive oil
- 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
- 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley
- 1/4 teaspoon salt, pepper, and cayenne pepper, or to taste
- Optional: 1 cup shredded mozzarella and provolone mixed together

Instructions
- Clean mushrooms, remove stems, and place them in a baking dish lightly sprayed with cooking oil.
- Finely chop three of four mushroom stems to place in a bowl, adding the grated cheese, bread crumbs, parsley, garlic, salt, and pepper. Add 1/3 cup olive oil.
- Mix together.
- Stuff mushroom caps.
- Drizzle olive oil over the tops.
- Pour wine around the bottom of the mushrooms.
- Bake in a 400-degree hot oven, until browned and crisp on top.
- Around 30 minutes.
- Tip: wash the mushrooms in hot water remove stems and clean them inside out with a melon ball scoop.
- Options: Top with any kind of shredded mozzarella and broil on high for a few minutes watching carefully until cheese melts.
