Easy to make using an ice cream maker, this eggless cookie dough ice cream is delicious and tastes like it came from an ice cream shop.
Ingredients
- Cookie Dough
- 1/2 cup butter, softened
- 1/4 sugar
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 2 tablespoons heavy cream
- 1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 3/4 cup flour
- 1/2 cup mini chocolate chips
- Mix all together and put in the freezer for 1/2 hour while making the ice cream.
- Vanilla Ice Cream
- 1 cup whole milk, well chilled
- 3/4 cup sugar.
- 2 cups well-chilled heavy cream
- 2 teaspoons of pure vanilla.
Instructions
- Cookie Dough
- Mix all together and put in the freezer for 1/2 hour while making the ice cream.
- Ice cream:
- Beat together with a hand mixer or a whisk for 2 minutes until the sugar is dissolved.
- Add 2 cups well chilled heavy cream, and then add 2 teaspoons of pure vanilla.
- Pour into the ice cream maker and allow to churn for 25 minutes or until a creamy consistency.
- Note: watch it isn't over-churning, the power may be less time, refer to your owner's instructions for the ice cream maker.
- Add the cookie dough in small chunks in the last 5 minutes; little pieces of delicious cookie dough.
- Pour into a container and freeze for 2 hours or more until set before serving.
