Grilling season can be all year round in some climates and these Teriyaki Chicken Kabobs are terrific on the grill however, we have baked, and air frying methods also for you to try!


The additions are endless when it comes to threading skewers for these yummy kabobs and you can even change them up with seafood, pork, or steak the sauce is so versatile.


We love the sweet Asian flavors and these threaded with pineapple give them a tropical flair and complement any meats.


Our family loves this chicken served with our Fried Rice, and an Asian Yum Yum Sauce.

We also love this with oriental chicken salad, egg rolls, and almond cookies for dessert!


Plus if you have any leftovers, it's great to serve leftovers in a wrap or pita sandwich!

Grilled Baked or Air Fried



Our recipe is so easy, just pick the easiest cooking method and the sauce will make the meat or seafood not only juicy and tender but super tasty.


You can even add a little cayenne pepper if you like your food spicy hot and for a big smoke flavor for indoor cooking add some liquid smoke.


We love barbecue it's fun and there is virtually no cleanup when we grill outside!


This simple sauce recipe is not only easy it just cooks in 4 minutes and then bastes away.


The recipe is easily double it triple and perfect for hosting a party.


Chicken seems to be the favorite here or use an assortment of steak, chicken, and shrimp for a real feast.


Served the leftovers in our Homemade Pita Bread you will have a home run dinner on your table and even the next day.

Cooking Methods

  1. Grill: Soak the skewers in warm water, and thread the chicken. Heat the grill to medium heat and cook for around 5 minutes turning until juice run clear and the internal temperature is 165 degrees
  2. Oven: place on in a cast-iron skillet, and bake at 400 degrees until browned and the juice runs clear for around 15 minutes. Cool then thread on skewers 
  3. Air Fry: Heat the air fryer to 400 degrees. Place chicken cubes on the middle rack and set the timer for 11 minutes. Thread on skewers when cooking is completed.

Grilled Teriyaki Chicken Kabobs

Grilled Teriyiaki Chicken Kabobs

These are basted teriyaki chicken kabobs skewered with pineapple, and peppers and can be grilled or baked.

Ingredients

  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 -1/2 pounds boneless, skinless chicken breast, cut into cubes
  • 1/2 cup soy sauce
  • 1/2 cup dark brown sugar
  • 1/4cup rice wine vinegar
  • 1/2 teaspoon toasted sesame oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground ginger
  • 3 medium garlic cloves, minced
  • 2 teaspoons cornstarch
  • wooden skewers soaked in water for an hour
  • pineapple chunks, cubes of bell peppers, zucchini, yellow squash, mushrooms, onions
  • Serving side suggestions: coconut rice, jasmine rice, Asian-style noodles

Instructions

  1. Mix all the sauce ingredients into a small saucepan and simmer for 4 minutes.
  2. Use this sauce for basting the kabobs.
  3. Place whatever you want on skewers and set on a baking sheet.
  4. Heat the grill on medium-high heat and grill for around 12 minutes turning once.
  5. For baking: Place threaded skewers on a greased baking sheet.
  6. Baste with sauce.
  7. Bake for around 20 minutes or until the chicken using an instant-read thermometer internal temperature is at 165 degrees.
