Any Pan Will Work
You can bake your cake in any size pan you like.
Round cakes are perfect for smaller families.
Perfect for two people.
Too Much Cake?
I actually make two out of this recipe, one for now one for the freezez.
We never can eat all that cake for just the 3 of us.
I save one for another time, and yes it freezes perfectly when thawed in the refrigerator!

Pin the Sheet Cake Version
Sheet cakes are easier, less messy, or use to round pans.
This works great either way.
Whipped Cream or Ice Cream?
You can really make this cake look pretty!
Just decorate the top with swirls of whipped cream and top with an apple slice.
We like our with a dollop of cream and a scoop of ice cream on top, then of course my son has to have some hot fudge over that.
That a sugar over load for me!
Caramel Apple Lovers
This is the perfect cake for the caramel apple lover.
The cake just shouts fall all over it.
It's rich in buttery flavors yet the tartness of the apples compliment the cake perfectly.
You can always make the cakes from scratch using my recipe for pineapple upside down cake, it comes out perfect but a heavier cake.
Change It Up
We do have some family members that hate apples, can you believe that?
When I make the two cakes, I do make one with slices of peaches in one pan and the other apples.
Peaches with a buttery caramel go perfectly together.
Oh Fruits Of All Kinds
I am sure you can use other fruits like pineapple or even mango!
Get creative and experiment!
Bananas go famously with caramel and so does chocolate, hint hint.
