I am not sure what I like more about peeps eating them or decorating with them. I really love how a child's face lights up when they see these. My grandson and granddaughter both love them. I like the fact that they are soft and easy to kids for kids but the festive look they give to a cupcake or frosted cake is just darling.
I have a personal fondness of the blue ones for some reason. I love the color of the bunny and they really are so adorable next to the little Easter eggs.
When I made these for the kids in school years ago I got so many compliments for just the idea. Then, of course, everyone started using these marshmallows cuties on everything. You may have even seen my Easter Peep cocktail, I made with a blue bunny peep.

Here's what I did to make these:
Peeps in various colors
Malted milk Easter eggs
Marshmallow Vanilla cream for frosting
Tinted coconut just add 2 drops to 1/2 cup coconut 1 tablespoon water in a mason jar and shake it
1 cake mix baked to package instructions for the cupcakes. Cool completely
Assemble by frosting the cupcakes first, sprinkle with coconut. Decorate with peeps with some frosting under the peep to stick so they stand up. Add the malted milk Easter eggs.
