Ingredients
- 1 1/2 cups flour
- 1/2 peanut butter
- 1 cup butter
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 egg
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 1/2 cup white sugar
- 1/2 cup light brown sugar
- 1 1/2 cup chocolate chips, chocolate chunks, or cut up peanut butter cups candy
- Optional: add a few extra chocolate chips on top before baking
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375 degrees and line baking sheets with parchment paper.
- Beat together the sugars and butter till light. Add the flour, baking soda, vanilla, and egg to the sugar mixture till blended.
- Using a spatula, fold in the chocolate chips.
- Drop 1 teaspoon of dough on a parchment-lined cookie sheet. using either a teaspoon or a cookie scoop.
- Flatten with a granulated sugared glass or just sprinkle with granulated sugar( you also can use colorful funfetti sprinkles if desired)
- Bake at 375 degrees for 8 to 10 minutes until edges start to brown.
- Cool for 4 minutes before removing from the cookie sheet.
- Alternative bar cookie method:
- Add the batter to a brownie-sized pan, 12 x 10.
