My Tips and Suggestions

This recipe is amazing with any ground meat, but for all my hunter friends out there, this is a great venison recipe to try.

When it comes to making ground venison it can become dry, remember to always add some kind of fat to keep it moist.

I have also used pork fat in place of the butter, bacon fat which is wonderful and you can use whatever your taste buds prefer.

They all work well, just remember the more meat you use the fat you need to add,

We love a firm crispy baked meatloaf with this barbecue topping with peppers however you can omit the peppers and top this with mushrooms and onions.

We also love this wrapped in raw bacon first and then cooked!

Just get creative and experiment with the recipe they way your family enjoys meatloaf.

Leftovers (if there are any) are great in a sandwich!

  2. Looks and sounds very good Claudia, but my venison source dried up when my West Virginia cousin quit hunting.
