Irish Cream Truffles

Saturday, December 5, 2020
These Irish Cream Truffles are a deliciously creamy chocolate confection and a perfect candy treat for the holiday plus they make great gifts.

Although I do make my own Copycat Irish Cream, you can use any flavored liquor with my several suggestions below.

The truffles are very smooth using heavy cream and good grade chocolate, everyone will think you purchased them in an expensive specialty candy shop.

Simple to make and they don't take much time or much cooking other than just using the microwave to melt the chocolate.

For gift-giving, store them in pretty festive tins, but they should only be left out up to 3 days unrefrigerated, these will stay fresh up to 3 weeks in the refrigerator so be sure to store them properly.

Just scroll down for these easy printable instructions.

Fun and Creative Ideas

These adult-style truffles can be changed to non-alcohol easily by just adding almond extract, vanilla or another kind of flavoring you like, adapt this recipe however you would like it.

I find this recipe extremely easy to do and in a matter of minutes you will have the taste of a gourmet truffle just like those fancy candy shops.

This can be decorated any way you like, with all kinds of creative ingredients to roll them for a festive look or anytime of the year leaving them plain and simple.

Just think of all the possibilities for gift giving, wedding trays, or party favors who doesn't love a creamy delicious truffle, and then you can even use sugar-free chocolate to make them for diabetic folks.

One other tip, use any liquor you like Amaretto, Frangelico, Kahlua, Butterscotch Schnapps, Whiskey, Vodka, the skies the limit on possibilities to change the flavor

  2. Use 1 teaspoon and if you can't smell it add another 1/2 teaspoon, it depends which one some are too strong and other not strong enough, hope that helps
