  • fruit needs to be left chunky not pureed

No Pectin Easy Strawberry Jam

Easy strawberry jam without pectin is so delicious and fresh tasting. This will be your go-to recipe during strawberry season.
Prep time: 10 MinCook time: 12 MinTotal time: 22 Min

Ingredients

  • 1 pound of strawberries sliced or diced into small pieces do not use frozen fruit
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice

Instructions

  1. In around a 3 to 4-quart saucepan, mix with the lemon juice, berries, and sugar and bring to a boil to dissolve the sugar.
  2. As it comes to a rolling boil, stir and mash the berries and continue boiling until this mixture thickens.
  3. This should take around 10 minutes continuing to stir and mash the berries.
  4. Once this thickens, turn off the heat and cool.
  5. Ladle into mason jars.
  6. Store in the refrigerator for up to 3 weeks or freeze it.
