This is a deliciously seasoned pork slow-cooked into tender submission super easy to make in a slow cooker bursting with orange flavor.

This is perfect for a busy work week, just dump in the ingredients place it on low, and come home to the most moist tender pork roast you have ever eaten.

The recipe requires no marinating and the orange juice will make this a fork-tender delight.

Leftovers are perfect for topping nachos, and Taco Tuesday, and a nice addition to any social gathering!

Easy Slow Cooked Orange Pork Butt

  1. oil spray the liner of your slow cooker
  2. pierce the top and add some garlic
  3. mix the juice with the ingredients in the list below and pour over the pork
  4. add the rest of the garlic on top with orange slices and parsley
  5. slow cooker on low for 8 hours or until the pork shreds easily

Slow Cooker Orange Pork Butt (Ingredients(recipe card is below at the bottom of this post)

  • pork butt or shoulder
  • cloves of garlic slivered/slices
  • dried oregano
  • granulated garlic powder
  • ground ginger
  • orange zest (freshly grated)
  • freshly squeezed orange juice
  • salt, and pepper to  taste
  • soy sauce
  • orange slices
  • fresh parsley

Slow Cooker Orange Pork Butt

This orange flavored Pork Butt or Shoulder cooked slow will transform into the most tender delicious flavored meat you'll ever eat!
Prep time: 10 MinCook time: 8 HourTotal time: 8 H & 10 M

Ingredients

  • 1 - 4 to 5-pound pork butt or shoulder
  • 3 cloves slivered/slices of fresh garlic
  • 1/4 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1/2 teaspoon granulated garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground ginger
  • 1 tablespoon navel orange zest (freshly grated)
  • 1/2 cup freshly squeezed orange juice
  • salt, and pepper to taste
  • 1/4 cup light brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • navel orange slices ( around 4)
  • 3 or 4 sprigs of fresh parsley

Instructions

  1. Prepare the liner of a 7 to 8-quart slow cooker with cooking oil spray.
  2. Place the orange juice in a bowl and whisk together with the dried herbs, granulated garlic powder, ginger, soy sauce, and brown sugar.
  3. Place the pork into the slow cooker
  4. Pour the juice over the pork.
  5. Pierce the pork with tiny slits with the end of a sharp knife randomly and put slivers of garlic in the holes ( piercing around 4 or 5 places) the rest of the garlic is placed on top of the pork.
  6. Sprinkle with salt and pepper and orange zest on top.
  7. Add the orange slices on top of the pork with fresh parsley.
  8. Turn the slow cooker for 6 hours or low for 8 hours.
  9. Let the pork rest for 5 minutes before attempting to slice it.
  10. Serve with cooked rice or ramen noodles.
