This easy Sheet Pan French Toast is baked in the oven, so every piece is done and ready to eat at the same time

Ingredients
- 1 loaf thick-cut bread (about 10–12 slices brioche, challah, or Texas toast)
- 6 large eggs
- 1 1/2 cups whole milk (or half-and-half for richer flavor)
- 1/3 cup granulated sugar
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg (optional)
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 3 tablespoons melted butter
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F degrees and line a baking sheet or 13 x 9 pan with parchment paper for easy removal.
- Whisk together the eggs, milk, sugar, vanilla, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt until smooth in a medium-sized bowl
- .Line the baking pan with the sliced bread, or if making French toast, the cut-up pieces.
- Pour the egg mixture over the slices of bread.
- Let this sit for around 15 minutes to soak into the bread.
- Drizzle the butter over each piece (use more if needed).
- Bake for 30 minutes, until the center is set and the top is lightly golden.
