Christmas Candy House

Holiday projects are memories made, and this Christmas Candy House will certainly give anyone that holiday spirit.

This is a fun, tasty project I have been doing since I was 11 years old.

Back in the 1970s, I would save all my Halloween candy to make my candy house, and way back then, it was unwrapped toffee and tootsie rolls.

We usually made it different every year, and I will give you a list of suggestions on what to use that work perfectly, waiting to eat this on Christmas Eve or Christmas Day if the kids let you wait that long.

As I got older, I made them with my nieces and nephews, then my kids, and now my grandchildren.

We love to make fun treats like our Christmas Reindeer Cupcakes together.

Tropical Banana Coconut Blueberry Cherry Bread

When my son Chad called me and said "mom we got to make a fruit-filled tropical style quick bread with everything we both like in it" I said ok what did you have in mind. He just loves blueberries in everything. He said " let's make your banana bread recipe with both our favorites in them, you love coconut and cherries and I love bananas and blueberries.

So that's how this one was created.

Here is my firstborn son Chad's adapted tropical banana, coconut, blueberry bread.

Chad is the dessert lover in the family and this was a great change in the recipe for the best everyday banana bread!
