A delicious bewitching cookie!

These are very much like a cream cheese butter cookie.

I didn't add green food coloring to the dough, however you can.

I left them the color that the dough became with all natural ingredients.

To get a witchy green effect just add a few drops into the dough when mixing.

Party Fun!

Every year, I make one more Halloween treat that the kids will enjoy.

I just love pistachio flavored anything. It was no secret to my family that I solely made these cookies with myself in mind!

I could eat the whole tray. They were so delicious, buttery, rich cookies. I ran out of whole almonds.

I just made roasted pumpkin seeds and viola, perfect fingernails.

The real look of them with the spices on them were the perfect addition to my witch fingers!

Fun and Scarey!

These were a big hit with all the neighborhood kids who came to the door.

First they were hesitant to eat them because they looked pretty darn ghoulish.

One taste and they were hooked. This is a keep recipe for every year.

I think making them into long sticks and dipped in chocolate then in pistachios would be a perfect cookie for the Christmas tray also.

Hmm that's another cookie made just for me, a fun bewitching party cookie and the best Halloween Pistachio Witches Finger Cookies !

Halloween Pistachio Witches Finger Recipe

1 shelled cup pistachios finely ground
1/1/2 cups flour
1 stick butter (1/2 cup)
1 cup powdered sugar
1 1/2 teaspoons almond extract
4 ounces cream cheese
pinch of salt

Cream the butter, powdered sugar together. Add the cream cheese, almond flavoring and salt till blended. Stir in the finely ground pistachios and flour.
Shape into rope like fingers molding with your hands. Make 3 slits with the tip of a very sharp knife at the knuckle area. Add the finger nail to the top.

For the finger nails: either use roasted pumpkin seeds for the nails ( I already had some made from the pumpkin carvings this year)

or use whole or slivered almonds or shelled pistachios around 40 fingernail nuts.

Bake in a preheated oven on 325 degrees until set around 15 to 20 minutes or until light brown. Cool and enjoy!
