Baked Chicken Kabobs are the best of the best healthier style grilling indoor shortcut for party appetizers!

Yes, I know it's cheating but this shortcut is great!

Inside grilled in the oven is healthier and fun to serve.

Whether you use a grided cast iron skillet for your oven, baked on a cookies sheet or even on a throwaway disposable pan.

These Baked Chicken Kabobs are baked not grilled and not fried and perfect for those carb watchers and calorie watchers!

Yes, I know it's cheating but when you can't grill this is a fabulous alternative!.

Psst, they are healthier and delicious no one will ever know you cook them inside and they look and taste great, so who cares?!

Check out this marinade I make, then freeze it until I need it for a quick dinner or perfect for get together with family and friends!

Tender juicy chicken, beef or even use kielbasa, are great finger food skewers for any party!

I made them all the time along with this baked sausage and meatballs skewers and they are perfect to take along to any holiday gathering or party you have!

Seriously easy to feed a crowd!

This is the perfect solution to feeding a large crowd and not standing over a hot grill.

I always fool everyone by baking a huge pan of cut up marinated chicken, then thread them onto kabobs.

I serve an assortment of dipping sauces in individual serving dishes when I make these for guests.

Don't be afraid to cook too much!

I make a large pan sometimes eight chicken breasts cut into cubes.

This chicken is fabulous for leftover chicken salads or just on top of a great garden salad.

You can change it up with different sauces on top.

We love hot sauce and blue cheese or honey mustard.

The most asked for at our parties is our Jack Daniels sauce or our Hot Sauce.

Marinate and Grill!

Even though these are a baked version skewer kabob, you can still use this great marinade and grill them if you prefer.

You could also use any kind of boneless meat cubes you prefer, chicken, lamb, beef, deer meat. The marinade is universal!

Use this marinade for your grilled or indoor baked use.

Of course for all the fried food, not health-conscious folks out there, saute your chicken in a little olive oil on top of the stove, cool then thread no problem!

These taste great plain or with your favorite barbecue sauce or whatever, you like on your chicken for dipping them in!

Vegetables to Use

If you decide you want to use vegetables in your skewers and not just meat, then use grape tomatoes, any cooked vegetables, steamed mushrooms, to the threaded skewers and you can use other raw vegetables like peppers.

We also like steamed zucchini, broccoli, and carrots wedges added to the threaded skewers for a great little kabob!

  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley

  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder

instructions:

How to cook Baked Chicken Kabobs

  1. I marinate the chicken and add to a freezer bag until ready to use, then just thaw.
  2. When ready to use I take it out the night before and thaw in the refrigerator.
  3.  It's all ready to bake and then I spear the chicken after it's cooked and make baked kabobs!
  4. If you want grill marks to really fool them use a cast-iron grilling skillet and bake them in it for that charred look.
  5. Place all ingredients a freezer zip lock bag and marinate for 3 to 4 hours or freeze until ready to use. (Add the liquid smoke fresh not frozen before cooking them if using)
  6. When you are ready to use, place on a deep cookie sheet lined with parchment or 13x9 baking pan.
  7. Juice and all bake at 400 degrees around 25 minutes until juices run clear in the chicken.
  8. Cool thread with short skewers or just toothpicks as an appetizer.
  9. Terrific dipped in orange marmalade or even marinara sauce.
  10. Try my favorite dipping sauces recipes.
