These Mini Black Pepper Pepperoni Biscuits are the perfect mini appetizer to feed a crowd, just have a hot pot of marinara on the side for dipping them in.

Appetizers are always perfect when hosting a party, and these are a great started when serving meats, pizzas or anything Italian these little bites will go perfectly for a starter or in addition to whatever you're serving.

They're loaded with pepperoni, shredded provolone and Parmesan cheeses along with a little heat of that spicey black pepper which make these super delicious in flavor combinations.

We love making all kindsof appetizers and dipping these in a pot of warm sauce is always a hit and the first to fly off the plates.

What's even better is the recipe is so basic you can really add anything you want in them or leave them plain with just the cheese in the dough.

Step by Step:

  1. prepare some mini muffin pans with oil spray and preheat the oven to 450
  2. add all dry ingredients to a bowl
  3. knead the butter and pepperoni into the dough with buttermilk until it forms a ball
  4. place in tins then bake for 15 minutes. That's it!


Then just serve this with your favorite marinara sauce!

  • granulated garlic powder
  • butter
  • oregano
  • marinara sauce
  • mozzarella or provolone
  • pepperoni
  • buttermilk
  • salt and black pepper



Mini Bites or Large Biscuits



These can be made into large cut-out biscuits or rolled in balls and added to tins.


If you want to add mix-ins like diced peppers, onions, olives or any other chopped meats you can change them up however you like.


We really love them dipped in sauce its the best way to serve them or in a delicious olive oil dipping sauce!

These are delicious appetizer biscuits made with black pepper, pepperoni and provolone cheese made in a mini muffin tin

Ingredients

  • 4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup freshly grated Parmesan
  • 1/2 cup shredded provolone or whole milk mozzarella
  • 1/2 cup diced pepperoni or capicola
  • 4 teaspoons baking powder
  • 2 1/2 teaspoons freshly ground black pepper
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons salt
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 3/4 cup cold butter, sliced or grated into thin pieces
  • 1 3/4 cups buttermilk
  • Garnish: granulated garlic powder and oregano
  • Optional: hot marinara sauce for dipping

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 450 degrees.
  2. Lightly oil sprays mini muffin tins with cooking oil.
  3. Measure and mix together the flour in a bowl with baking powder, baking soda, cheeses, black pepper, and salt, and set aside.
  4. Add the sliced butter to the flour mixture.
  5. Stir in the buttermilk and pepperoni then knead the dough until it forms a ball.
  6. Roll into small balls and put these in the mini muffin tin.
  7. Sprinkle with oregano and granulate garlic powder
  8. Bakes for around 10 to 15 minutes or until the top is golden brown.
  9. Serve warm with hot marinara sauce (store-bought or homemade)
