Charcuterie Boards

When we have the family get-together these Charcuterie Boards are a family favorite.

The best thing about cheeseboard appetizers is they can be perfect for snacking, before the big dinner, or on a special romantic evening.

I love to prepare a cheese board with some unique fruits, meats, cheeses and so much more.

Come take a look at these ideas and how easy they are to assemble there is no right or wrong, it's built and tailored to whatever you like fancy or plain it's all GOOD!

Most of the time these Cheese, Meat, and Fruit Tray Appetizers are eaten on a Sunday for us.

Paired off with a good bottle of our favorite Chianti wine, it's the best way to start off the day before a big meal.

Holiday Time

During Christmas, Easter, or any Holiday we always have a large Antipasto Cheeseboard prepared.

Our Italian-style cheese board will consist of mozzarella, lots of Italian sliced cooked deli meats, grape tomatoes, nuts, grapes, and lots of assorted olives.

Sometimes we add some deviled eggs, meatballs, and roasted peppers on fancy arugula or other fancy greens under them.

Plus we make one dedicated just for kids as shown above and add fruits to fill in the gaps.

Appetizers like these boards are so much fun to make and for kid's parties, gameday events, and holidays, you can color coordinate the ingredients.

We love to add grapes, crackers, gourmet-style cheeses, and sometimes even shelled nuts.

Roasted almonds, pistachios, and smoked nuts go great on these boards with fruits and cheeses.

Different Charcuterie Platters

I personally love to collect unusually shaped boards.

I order them online or find them even in thrift stores.

The boards that are wooden have some wonderful unique shapes and are perfect to build a delicious-looking board.

Everything you place on your board should have similar foods that complement each other.

If you don't have a board you can quickly transform a beautiful glass or ceramic platter using some smaller filled ramekin bowls with olives and cheese to make a cheese board statement with it.

You can add some green leafy lettuce to set on the platter to make the whole presentation just look marvelous.
