Best Boston Butt Roast Ever in a Crockpot!


The smell alone of this roast cooking is wonderful, the taste is moist and amazing. You can eat it this straight from the crockpot and any leftover are perfect for a wonderful sandwich with your favorite sauces~


1 Boston Butt up to 4lbs
Seasoning Rub:
1 tsp salt
2 tsp crushed red pepper
1/2 tsp black pepper
1/2 tsp white pepper
1 clove garlic
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1 tsp oregano
1/2 tsp tarragon
1/2 tsp nutmeg
1/2 tsp ground thyme
1/2 tsp marjoram
1/2 tsp rosemary
1/2 tsp whole basil
1/2 cup applesauce regular or cinnamon flavored
1/4 cup water or Apple Brandy
Optional : crockpot cooking bags (tip: put water on the bottom of the crockpot first so they don't burst.)
Can of cooking spray. Cook 4 to 6 hour on high or low 8 hours.
Spray the pork with cooking spray in your large slow cooker.  Sprinkle with herbs and spices on top and fatty sides. Add the applesauce to the bottom with water or brandy. This roast falls off the bone. Serve with mashed potatoes and lots of crusty bread  Italian Bread! Any leftovers? Try some of Curt's sauces on this great pork on a sandwich.
