Halloween Pumpkin Shaped Cheese Balls

A cheese spread shaped into Pumpkin heads for a Halloween party appetizer.

This pumpkin-shaped cheese ball is so easy and fun to make besides being delicious and easy to spread on crackers, toasted bread, and vegetables.

The cheese call looks so festive for a Halloween party and makes a great centerpiece on your party table.

It's always a big hit at any party and of course, you can decorate them for Thanksgiving without the faces and just leave them plain.

Serve with toast points, garlic bread, cucumber slices, and just about any cracker or vegetable assortment.

Everyone always gets a big kick out of making them look like a couple so get creative to make two festive cheese balls.








Ingredients You Will Need

  1. softened cream cheese 
  2. package cut up of sharp cheddar
  3. mozzarella shredded or cut-up 
  4. Swiss cheese
  5. garlic powder, paprika, Worcestershire sauce
  6. chopped pecans and walnuts mixed
  7. Garnish and decorate: pepperoncini sliced olives roasted peppers



Tool You Will Need

  • wax paper
  • butter knife or offset spatula
  • bowl
  • food processor
  • cheese spreader

A delicious cheddar and cream cheese spread shaped into pumpkin heads as a fabulous Halloween appetizer

Ingredients

  • 1 8oz package softened of cream cheese
  • 1 8oz package cut up of sharp cheddar
  • 1 8oz mozzarella shredded or cut-up Swiss
  • 1/2 teaspoon each of garlic powder, paprika, Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 cup chopped pecans and walnuts mixed
  • Garnish and decorating:
  • pepperoncini
  • sliced olives
  • roasted peppers

Instructions

  1. In a heavy-duty mixer using the flat beater bar, beat everything together until smooth.
  2. Scoop onto wax paper shape into balls,( two large ) roll into chopped pecans.
  3. Cut tops off of pepperoncini for the stem on the pumpkins, use sliced olives for the eyes and red pepper strips cut into a smile for the mouth.
  4. Store in the fridge until ready to use.
  5. Refrigerate if you have any leftovers.
  6. Serve with pita crackers, butter crackers, celery sticks, cucumber slices or any other snack-sized dipping vegetables and crackers you prefer.

  5. I love the cheese balls.
    I picked up some goat cheese today and was going to try to mix it up with rum and raisins or chambord and pineapple. Not sure how that will taste but it makes me want to have a party just to see how it goes over. Ted's not a good test subject because...believe it or not...he isn't crazy about goat cheese. I'll end up having to eat the concoctions all myself. Maybe not a bad thing. ;)

  13. These are so cute! I love it when food looks like people... seriously. Growing up my grandma would make this Armenian sweetbread for us around Easter and she would shape the dough into people. My mom still humors us every Easter, haha :) I think these cheeseball heads would be perfect for a party, so playful!
