Guinness Beer Marinade for Steaks

Thursday, January 14, 2021
This marinade using beer is great for so many meats but we love Guinness Beer to marinate our Ribeye Steaks, it's such a great meal and perfect for a St. Parick's Day celebration meal.

These flavors are wonderful in this recipe, it's a little spicy and a little sweet, the combination of flavor is perfect on whatever you choose with my suggestions below.

We even like a little of this marinade to saute mushrooms in for a great topping for our steaks.

No matter what cut of meat you choose to use this marinade on it will surely please any meat lover, it's even great on hamburgers!

If you haven't tried cooking with darker beers like a stout, the beer marinade is a perfect tenderizer every time with a subtle flavoring not strong as it cooks away.

We love using Guinness Irish Beer in recipes, you may also like to try our Guinness Irish Recipes and More, we have lots to choose from to cook with it or bake!

The flavors in this marinade will be addicting so that's a fair warning, it's hard to use any other after trying this one, it's so delicious so if you love stout beer, try this easy recipe.

Guinness Beer Marinade For Ribeye Steaks

Guinness Beer Marinade For Ribeye Steaks

Yield: 2
Author: Claudia Lamascolo
Prep time: 10 MinCook time: 8 MinTotal time: 18 Min
This is a beer sauce we make for St. Patrick's Day dinner using ribeye steaks in the marinade then grilled to perfection. This is a tender mouth-watering seasoned steak.

Ingredients

  • (I double this recipe)
  • 1 cup Guinness beer or another stout beer
  • 1/2 cup chopped bottled Italian pepperoncini peppers   plus 1 tablespoon of the juice
  • 3 cloves minced garlic
  • 1/3 cup soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons molasses
  • 1 tablespoon fresh chopped parsley
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 rib eye or other meat you prefer(pork chops, chicken are also great)
  • Optional Toppings: Sauteed Mushrooms ( use some of the marinades to cook them in and butter)  Dubliner Cheese shredded, coleslaw
  • Note: if using seafood only marinate up to 30 minutes to an hour

Instructions

  1. Whisk together all the ingredients in a pouring bowl with a spout.
  2. Place steaks in a large zip lock bag with all the rest of the marinades.
  3. Note: I marinate this overnight, I like to get at least 4 hours of marinating steaks before cooking them.
  4. Take the steaks out of the marinade and save 1 cup place in a small saucepan (2 cups if doubling) and throw the rest away.
  5. Preheat your grill and cook your steaks by your own preference.
  6. In the meantime boil the reserved marinade in the saucepan and reduced it in half for 7 to 10 minutes to baste the steaks.
  7. Air fry: for 8 to 11 minutes at 400 to 425 degrees medium.
  8. Broil: for 11 minutes top rack in the oven.
  9. We like them medium so it's around 7 minutes on each side.
  10. Internal Temperatures:
  11. Medium Rare: 135 degrees and pink
  12. Medium: 145 degrees some pink
  13. Well:  155 degrees very little pink
