Cannoli Ice Cream

Sunday, July 5, 2020
Cannoli ice cream is one of those wow factors on that first taste.

It's rich, creamy and so different tasting than any other flavored ice cream you may have had.

There are a few things that make the characteristics of an Italian cannoli flavor, Marsala wine, and a hint of cinnamon with that crunchy shell.

I am pretty sure this recipe hits it out of the park in flavors and is super easy to make.

The family loves how this all works to give you the best experience and taste of a real Italian pastry in a frozen confection!

Nothing like the phony supermarket ice cream brands, this is authentic Italian cannoli flavors made with the richness and creaminess of Ricotta cheese!

I waited patiently to ever post this recipe until the verdict of my Italian critics came in.

If you don't own an ice cream maker, no problem we have the complete directions for "no-churn cannoli ice cream" below to make sure you can enjoy this luscious creamy dessert!

We are such big cannoli fans I even make a delicious Cannoli Dip that's addicting!

Sunday Dinners and Dessert

We love Sunday family day with Traditional Sunday Sauce, Meatballs baked cavatelli pasta, and of course, we always save room for dessert.

Usually, dessert ends with our favorite Italian Lemon Ice, but this one is a favorite also.

On a hot summer day in July, this certainly is the ice cream of choice here.

It's bursting with great flavors, subtle, not too sweet, and the perfect Italian dessert after that big meal!

It sure is easier than making the regular pastry, which I make at Easter time usually the original pastry, Italian Cannoli .

The garnish made it even more authentic in flavor with the addition of brushed Marsala on it and butter.

Here is another favorite Cannoli Recipe to Try Best Cannoli Pie, Cannoli Mousse.

How To Make This No Churn without an Ice Cream Maker No PROBLEM!

Well, this is one tool I love for the creaminess, is the ice maker, it provides texture, however, not to worry, no ice maker no problem!

Place the mixture in a deep ice cream freezer-safe container and freeze for 45 minutes.

As it begins to freeze near the edges, remove it from the freezer and stir vigorously with a spatula or

if you have a handheld mixer or blender, the creamier and less grainy the better.

Return to the freezer.

Continue to check the mixture every 30 minutes, stirring vigorously as it’s freezing.

Repeat this process for 2 to 3 hours, or until frozen.
