Best Bing Cherry Muffin

Saturday, July 15, 2017
One of my all-time favorite recipes. These are the best Bing Cherry Muffins you will ever eat!

Summer is always full of fresh fruits.

Cherries aren't around long and we love Cherry Fresh Pie also.

Usually, fresh bing cherries don't last a day in our home.

I have to buy twice the amount just to make these! They sure are worth waking up to.

Breakfast muffins chock full of chopped fresh cherries all in a sweet muffin with or without butter are fantastic!

If you rather have Cherry Quick Bread instead, try this recipe or try some other muffins' best quick breadvariety muffins here.

Love Fresh Cherries!

I can eat them every day while in season.

This year I happened to get a not-so-sweet batch and viola these muffins were born! The best part is they are sweet as summer fruits should be. Hope you like them too!

I don't know about you, but muffins are one of my favorite comfort foods and bing cherries are my favorite fruit, so that's where Bing Cherry Muffins came to mind.

We make them in our home every summer. These are the most asked-for morning breakfast muffins besides Sour Cream Apple Pie Muffins, and blueberry muffins! Mango Muffins are our other favorites.

Summer fresh dark bing cherries!

These are perfect for the summer cherry season, first thing in the morning on a sunny day.

They're a must-make every year!

When they're on sale I just pit them add to a freezer bag and have them all year long for these muffins.

I love cherries but sometimes you get a bitter batch and they aren't great for eating, has that ever happened to you? Well, this is the solution.

Make these muffins with them and you will buy them every year wanting to make a batch I promise you no matter how the crop of them turned out.

They are over-the-top delicious, great while still warm with a little butter. Over the top awesome!

Best Bing Cherry Muffins Tips

Homemade Cherry Muffins are made from scratch with fresh, red juicy sweet cherries that come out to be delicious muffins quickly using simple pantry ingredients.

This recipe is so versatile just about any fruit can be substituted that you like or around 1/2 of other additions like chocolate chips or nuts.

These really aren't very sweet muffins and sometimes we even drizzle a little frosting on top with maraschino cherries juice to sweeten them for those sweet tooth lovers in your house.

As always adapt away, a basic recipe is out there for you to make however you want and I know my family loves nuts and chocolate with cherries so experiment.

Pitting the Cherries

what you will  need

  1. kitchen towel, knife, cutting board, bowl, or freezer bag to store them in, paring knife, and the cherry pitter is the easiest version!
  2. Peak season cherries are full of juice and they can stain, use an old kitchen towel tucked in like a bib, or wear old clothes.
  3. Method 1: Place the cherry on a cutting board. Use the side of a knife to press on the cherry until it gives way. Pry the fruit apart to until you see the pit and discard it.
  4. Method 2: Take a paring knife and rock it around the entire cherry, as you would an avocado or peach. Twist the fruit into 2 halves to see the pit and take it out.
