Layered Peanut Butter Brownies are a semi-homemade dessert with a peanut butter fudge layer and fudgy chocolate base.

I can't tell you how many times over the years I have been asked to make this easy recipe and the layers are decadently delicious.

With just a few pantry ingredients and a doctored brownie or chocolate cake mix, you'll have a very impressive simple brownie on your tables.

This easy recipe will astound everyone, especially how the top layer does its magic in the oven creating this peanut butter fudge topping.

If you like doctored cake mix recipes also try my other two popular recipes one being a Red Velvet Semi-Homemade Recipe and my fabulous Cake Mix Banana Cake, they both taste like they were made from scratch.

We love these easy recipes that look like they came from a bakery the layers bake perfectly into each other to create such a wonderful dessert.

We all know peanut butter and chocolate at the perfect flavor combinations and these will surely be a huge hit with anyone that's a lover of both.

I always keep a few boxes of chocolate cake mixes in the pantry along with sweetened condensed milk so I can whip up a batch when I need a quick dessert to bring somewhere, these are always a big hit!

  8. Great recipe! Thanks! Just wondering, step 7 is incomp!ete. "Bake 25 minutes until." Until what? Until golden brown? Until set? Also, do you find using the brownie mix or using the chocolate cake mix better? The results, texture and thickness would most likely vary. Thanks, again! I will definitely make these!

    1. I use the toothpick method in the center when it comes out clean it's done. As far as the mixes go it's a matter of preference. Cake is fluffier and brownie mix is denser. Hope that helps thanks again for catching my typo

  9. My question is what is done with the butter? melted or just softened. I had a real hard time getting the brownie mix and butter (softened) to mix well.

    1. not melted no I used a fork with cold butter like you would make pie crust . I suppose if you let it stand at room temperature it would be ok but I have never tried that. This crust gets pushed down like a pie crust after it blended together and I've used both with cake mix and brownie mix with no issues. If you melt it will be a batter more than a crust hope that helps you.
