I usually am not a big fan of using a cake mix and make banana cakes from scratch.
This is the perfect starter recipe for those who aren't fond of baking and teaching kids to bake.
Consequently, starting with a cake mix will fool just about anyone, it's that good and I am always proud to serve this anytime!

Banana Cake Mix Cake
prep time: 10 min cook time: 45 min total time: 55 mins
This is a semi-homemade cake made with bananas and a cake mix.
ingredients:
- 1 cake mix yellow (15.25 size) or use another flavor you like
- 1 box instant banana cream pudding or vanilla
- 3 mashed small bananas
- 4 eggs
- 1 cup of water
- 1/4 cup oil
- Optional additions: 2/3 cup of any: coconut, chocolate chips or other flavored chips, chopped nuts of any kind, chopped candy of choice like Reese, Snickers, etc.
instructions:
- Place in a large mixing bowl and beat around 4 minutes with an electric beater. Pour into 13x9 greased pan or bundt pan. Bake in a preheated oven at 350-degree hot oven until the middle comes out clean with a toothpick around 50 to 55 minutes.
- Cool completely.
- Options:
- Top with real whipped cream and fresh fruits and refrigerate or use cream cheese frosting.
- Another option just sprinkled with powdered sugar.
- You can also frost this with a light glaze using powdered sugar and water if it's a bundt cake.
