The holiday is stressful enough without having to come up with new and festive ideas for food right? Well here is an assortment of easy finger foods to make in minutes to dress up your holiday tables with deliciousness.

With just some cookie cutters and a loaf of sliced bread, you can make fabulous bite-sized fun-filled sandwiches or grab some fresh strawberries from the market for white chocolate-dipped strawberries dipped in green sugar, or how about a fun holiday Caprese salad shaped in a candy cane or wreath with fresh basil tomatoes and mozzarella?

Keeping a few items on hand will make these appetizers super simple and done in minutes with a variety of festive treats on your tray!
To keep it a red and green food theme just check out the items list below and pick a few to keep on hand during this busy time to whip something up in a hurry.

I try to keep it simple and decorate with fresh rosemary,  fresh basil, tomatoes, and cheeses on hand, and you can even build a Christmas tree just by cutting some cheeses, olives, and layers of pepperoni in that shape!

Holiday Creative Appetizer Recipes



Between planning the Christmas Eve and Christmas Day menu plus trying to wrap gifts and party planning, it's hard to get creative in thought for festive-looking finger foods.


These simple easy appetizers can be made quickly and be a fantastic addition to dress up the holiday table no less very tasty before that big holiday dinner.


Our appetizers are also great to bring to that last-minute party and not have to take all day to make them and look like you spent all day making them!


All of them can be adapted to the red and green colors of food you prefer, and I will give you some ideas to substitute some of the ingredients used below.


Holiday Wreath or Candy Cane Caprese Salad

Garnish Ingredients to Keep on Hand and Ideas

  1. Mint leaves
  2. Fresh basil
  3. Fresh parsley or dried
  4. Chopped tomatoes
  5. Fresh rosemary
  6. Dill
  7. Sprinkle foods with paprika
  8. Fill cherry tomatoes with cream cheese and parsley
  9. Fresh strawberries dipped in melted white chocolate roll the bottoms in green sugar
  10. Any kind of cheese that you can easily cut with appetizer cutters
  11. Tomatoes

  13. Slice the bottom off of some Strawberries slice, remove a little in the center then add cream cheese and top with the cut part to look like a Santa hats

More Quick Appetizers Ideas

  1. stuffed mushrooms and sprinkle the tops with chopped tomatoes and parsley
  2. use the refrigerated dough to make an edible Christmas Tree: and you will need 15 balls to build a tree, roll the balls with cheese or pepperoni in the center starting with making the balls 5, at the bottom then 4, then 3, then 2, 1 for the top, and viola. Bake as directed on the packaging
  3. shape pigs in a blanket in a round ring and decorate the outside with rosemary sprigs for a wreath effect
  4. make my cheeseball recipe and roll into small bite-sized balls then roll in parsley with dried cranberries and use a mini pretzel stick in the center to pick them up off the platter
  5. turn my Patriotic skewers into red, green, and white by adding grapes to the stick
  6. Top Deviled Eggs with paprika and chopped parsley
