Berry Baked Ricotta Cheesecake

Monday, May 29, 2017
The main difference between what we would consider typical New York American cheesecake and Italian cheesecake is that in Italy, cheesecake is made with ricotta rather than cream cheese.

It is also a bit lighter and dryer, more cakelike.

We love both the Ricotta-style cheesecakes and the cream cheese New York versions, this one is berry delicious!

If you want fewer calories and authentic Italian cheesecake flavors, this is the type you will find in an Italian bakery.

Easy to make in a springform pan and it even tastes great with nothing but a dusting of powdered sugar on top.

Just scroll down to the printable recipe card and see just how easy this is to make.

Italian Style Jambalaya

Wednesday, May 24, 2017
When I think of Jambalaya, I think of a pan of a delicious assortment of my favorite meats, seafood, and vegetables.

I made mine more of a Cajun/Italian style in flavors and it not only packs a punch it's addicting not to stop eating it.

Whether you love chicken, steak, seafood, or sausage, this is a great one-pan meal to serve and perfect for getting everything together for side dishes and your main meal cooked all together.

Served normally with a bowl of dirty rice, or red beans and rice, this Italian style jambalaya has all the best of our favorite vegetables in a casserole that needs nothing else.

Two kinds of potatoes, mushrooms then shrimp and sausage, the flavors together are outstanding.

We are big fans of easy meals, and all casseroles, this is great outdoors if you have a wok pan with holes in it to put on the grill also.

If you would like to try the Ultimate Seafood Boil with Garlic Butter, that's another fantastic meal by Cookin Frog!

For an original Jambalaya style with rice, I will also include the recipe below.

Mini Black Pepper Pepperoni Biscuits

Tuesday, May 16, 2017
These Mini Black Pepper Pepperoni Biscuits are the perfect mini appetizer to feed a crowd, just have a hot pot of marinara on the side for dipping them in.

Appetizers are always perfect when hosting a party, and these are a great started when serving meats, pizzas or anything Italian these little bites will go perfectly for a starter or in addition to whatever you're serving.

They're loaded with pepperoni, shredded provolone and Parmesan cheeses along with a little heat of that spicey black pepper which make these super delicious in flavor combinations.

We love making all kindsof appetizers and dipping these in a pot of warm sauce is always a hit and the first to fly off the plates.

What's even better is the recipe is so basic you can really add anything you want in them or leave them plain with just the cheese in the dough.

Here is the easiest recipe for chicken and rice ever made in a slow cooker.
This is a wonderful super easy dinner without a lot of fuss.

With just a few ingredients this all-in-one pot dinner will be on your tables after a long hard day.

It's kind of mock stir fry in flavors but healthier since it has none of the oils used for frying.

The recipe can be made with either chicken or pork and requires no other sides except maybe a loaf of crusty warm bread with butter.

Funfetti Angel Sugar Cookies

Monday, May 1, 2017
Here is a melt-in-your-mouth sugar cookie called Angel Sugar cookies and rightly so they are delicious perfect in every way, and today we dressed them by adding funfetti in the dough.

These cookies have been around forever and easier than the cut and bake because they're a drop-and-roll cookie.

I love the old-fashioned easy cookies as the day isn't taken up by cutting, rolling, and icing all day.

These sweet delicate yet crumbly butter sugar cookies are just perfect with a cup of afternoon tea and a great comfort cookie.

If you were looking for a bakery-quality tasting sugar cookie, then you're going to love these and of course, you can just add nothing to the dough and frost them if you prefer.
