Fresh Raspberry Galette Recipe

Thursday, August 7, 2014

Summer is a favorite time for me making fresh fruit desserts and raspberry was my Dad's favorite pie, a dessert I can only give him every tribute to. Here it is Dad, this one's for you where ever you are. Missing you every day and I always cook with you in mind R.I.P. until we meet again I know you would have flipped for this one. One of my best memories with dad was when he would work day shift at Ma Bell (aka ATT) he would walk to work and back(we only had one car and mom would work take it to her work) on the way home he would pick up a pie from a local store across the street from St. Louis Church to bring home a Freihofer's raspberry pie once a week. We would both sit down and eat the whole thing together, many years ago and I love that tradition he set with me and it became my favorite pie too!
