Wicked Witch Halloween Cupcakes

A little whimsicle cupcake created as a fan of the very popular and classic movie "The Wizard Of Oz".

Delicious little ding dong the witch is dead cupcakes recreated in the the shape of witch boots with striped socks using candy and cake.

Here is the Wicked Witch of the East is a great addition to any Halloween Party table and surely a talking point of conversation with this creative easy cupcake.

These are easy to make and you can come up with your own creative ideas to change them in different colors and any flavor cupcakes.

Wicked Witch Shoes


Easy to mold with tootsie rolls, just get the mini chocolate rolls and shape them into witch boots!

The top can be decorated in tinted green coconut or you can use crushed chocolate sandwich cookies for a dirt look.

The possibilities are endless with a little imagination.




Shopping List of Ingredients

  1. tootsie rolls
  2. striped peppermint sticks
  3. your favorite cake mix
  4. tinted green coconut
  5. canned or homemade white frosting
  6. colorful candied round balls for the shoes
  7. cupcake liners
  8. cupcake pan to bake them in

Wicked Witch Halloween Cupcakes

Wicked Witch Halloween Cupcakes

This is a childhood creation from the Wizard of Oz ding dong the witch is dead cupcake!

Ingredients

  • 1 batch of baked cupcakes (chocolate or vanilla baked and cooled.
  • Use your favorite cake mix it doesn't matter what flavor, you can even buy cupcakes already made.
  • 1 bag coconut I used 1 cup with 2 teaspoons water and 1 drop of green food coloring to make it tinted green.
  • Note: you can also use crushed Oreo cookies to make it look like dirt instead of grass
  • Candy corn the yellow part cut off and cut again in half for the shoe buckle or use a candy round ball any color
  • Peppermint sticks, which I found at the dollar tree small sticks cut in half make the perfect size for the legs.
  • mini tootsie rolls unwrap leaving on the paper microwave for 3 seconds to soften.
  • 1 can of white frosting

Instructions

  1. Tint the coconut green and let this dry.
  2. Bake the cupcakes and let them cool completely
  3. Spread the frosting on the cupcake
  4. . Add the coconut.
  5. Wrap the tootsie softened roll into the shape of a witch boot.
  6. Cut the peppermint stick in half and place the mini boot on the end that isn't cut.
  7. Add the yellow candy corn for the buckle and stick it into the cupcake.
  8. Repeat the cupcakes the same way.
