Ingredients
- 8 hotdogs
- 1 package of refrigerated crescent rolls or buttermilk biscuit dough (you can also use pizza dough)
- mustard or ketchup in a squeeze bottle for eyes
- Optional: slices of sharp cheddar (this can be placed on the dog for cheese dogs!)
- Note: for appetizers, when hosting a party, I garnish the top of the dough with butter, granulated garlic powder, parsley, and black pepper before baking
Instructions
- Roll out the dough, and place a small piece of cheese on the dough if using.
- Place the hot dog on the dough roll, pinching the seam shut.
- Place the seam down on a parchment-lined cookie sheet.
- For Mummy dogs, cut strips of dough and wrap in a haphazard style to resemble a mummy.
- For Baby Showers, cut the hot dogs into small pieces and wrap them like a blanket with a piece of dough.
- For hosting a party: Brush the tops with butter, and sprinkle with garlic powder and freshly cracked pepper.
- Bake at 400 degrees until golden brown, around 25 minutes.
