Mommy's Homemade Chicken Nuggets

Sunday, February 6, 2022
I love calling the mommy's chicken nuggets, the kids call them that now and ask for them that way.

It's always nice for mom to be remembered for her signatures dishes, and this is one easy way to please the whole family.

The best part about making your own (besides knowing your nuggets are all chicken with no fillers), is you can make a large amount so much more economical to feed a hungry bunch!

These can be baked, fried, or air-fried and perfect every time with just a light coating of seasoned flour.

Of course, if you prefer to cut your chicken into strips or even a dinosaur shape you're more creative than I can be so have at it.

The kids ask for these little bites for an after-school snack and they taste fresh reheated in the air fryer in just a few minutes!

If you happen to have any leftovers they make a perfect buffalo chicken sandwich or a nice addition to toss in a chicken with pasta dish you like.

Serve them with your favorite dipping sauces or plain and however your family enjoys them at their favorite restaurant.

Scroll down and see how easy it is to make homemade Mommy McNuggets or tenders, they're not a copycat recipe but the kids will love them!

Chicken Nuggets Homemade vs.Fast Food

My family gives this recipe a two-thumbs-up favorite versus a fast-food restaurant.

These chicken nuggets get a major upgrade from the standard variety with just a few quick seasonings plain and simple and all meat not pressed or processed.

Did I mention they freeze well also? Just freeze them on a cookie sheet and freeze them in freezer bags then reheat in the oven.

Most of the time they just dip these in barbecue sauce or hot sauce.

Serve these for lunch, dinner, or that special before-dinner appetizer for a party you may be hosting!

Baked Fried or Air Fry

As I mentioned this recipe is so versatile for cooking methods.

You can easily bake them on a cookies sheet drizzled with oil or cooking spray.

Then air-fried is a quick alternative for a crispy outside and moist chicken inside!

Whatever method you choose to use, these chicken nuggets are sure to please a hungry crowd.

We love to make these also for any sporting get-together and these are the perfect appetizers.

Easy Little Chicken Bites

These little bundles of chicken bites are sure to please any fried chicken lover young at heart and the kids will go crazy for these.

We love ours dipped in some Jack Daniels barbecue sauce or hot sauce, sometimes blue cheese dressing on the side, and feel free to use your own dipping sauce your family prefers.

One of the best parts of making homemade Mommy nuggets is the kids will always remember the great taste and all the love that went into making them.
