Electric Smoker Smoked Chicken Wings

Thursday, August 19, 2021
Seriously invest in an electric smoker not just for chicken wings, but for all meats if you loved smoked flavors, it's an easy alternative than the old fashioned methods and won't heat the house in the summertime.

These chicken wings(done in a Master Built Electric Grill took around 1 hour and 35 minutes making sure the internal temperature of 165 degrees was reached to ensure they were done.

Trust me we are big fans of fried chicken wings as a matter of fact I have a blog post that's super popular with 24 different kinds of wings that we love, but smoked is a nice alternative.

Smoked are super moist and delicious however you prefer super crispy you'll have to broil the skins to get that charred crispy flavor in your oven at the end there are no two ways about it.

Then you can dip them in any kind of Chicken Wings Dipping Sauces you like, they are the best of the best moist inside wings with that down-home smokey outdoor flavor.

Don't miss trying our Smoked Venison Tenderloin, Slow Cooked Beef Brisket or our Pork Belly Burnt Ends if you love smoked meats!

Wings and Suggestions

These are super easy and flavorful to make and with your favorite wood chips, these will be your new favorite way to make wings.

For chicken, we always prefer to use hickory chips,  but pecan, mesquite, cherry, and apple are all popular wood chip flavors for chicken.

Hickory is a hardwood that has a sweet to strong taste that is almost bacon-like in flavor and it burns hot and slow so it's our favorite.

We are chicken wing lovers and have made them fried, baked, air fried (see below at the end of this post for directions), or now smoked, any way you cook them we're big fans of wings.

  11. I'm going to try your rub next time we smoke wings! We usually just season with salt and pepper and then add sauce after, but I think this will give so much more flavor. THanks!
